In a bid to attract maximum customers, airlines are going out of their way, because of which flyers are pleased to no end in this peak travel season. In the latest development, domestic airfares have become 25-35% cheaper than they were last year, while international airfares have also seen a fall of 15-20%.This time, the drop in fares was initiated by IndiGo, which further prompted Vistara, SpiceJet, and Air India to follow suit. This, if true, would be the first time that IndiGo, the usually nofrills airline, would have adopted this strategy. However, IndiGo has denied initiating the competition.
