As per a report by PTI, the DoT did a special audit last month to assess the coverage and quality of service of all mobile operators in metro cities. The audit was conducted with the aim to assess the menace of call drops.
"Data for DoT audit has come and now analysis of that has been going on. It will be completed in 5-6 days than we will approach TRAI with that data and ask what action should be taken," Telecom Secretary Rakesh Garg said in the report.
The DoT is also analyzing the reports on action taken to address the problem that were submitted by the operators.
