There is no doubt that India’s newly elected Prime Minister Narendra Modi is a twitter-savvy man. He has been active on the social networking site since January 2009. Notably, the charismatic leader has more than 5.36 million followers.

After taking charge of the Cabinet, he had suggested all the Union ministries and Cabinet ministers to join the social media platforms to directly connect with the people of India.

Although there has been some delay, two more Union ministries have made a social debut. The newbies on Twitter are the Ministry of Textiles and the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare. They will be using the twitter handles TexMinIndia and MoHFW_INDIA, respectively.

The official announcement was made via a tweet by the official handle of Twitter India.

Narendra Modi himself is active on Twitter via his personal handle and official handle.
