Digital India: This is what Intel is doing to educate India through its disruptive technologies

Intel has been investing in education for 15 years now. It is working closely with the Ministry of IT, to create a framework that can be used for digitisation of India. Through its For this, Intel launched a host of solutions to expand the educational ecosystem in the country. One such solution is being used by schools in Rajasthan. Intel is working with the Rajasthan Government to bring technology infused education in the state as part of its contribution to Digital India initiative.
Raj-e Gyan is a platform wherein one can get ebooks for free. Not only this, to bring world class education within the classrooms, the government uploads video lectures adhering to the syllabus from around the world. A student can download the content and can distribute within his/her community where there is no access to internet.
This platform also has sessions for the parents guiding them through the challenges of education and scope. The platform is also used by teachers to monitor a student’s performance.
Besides, Intel also provides three other technology solutions. It has built a server which creates a low powered classroom setup on any platform. This is targeted at areas with no electricity. One can upload anything from the server at any given time using the minimum power possible.

Last, but not the least, Intel has also built a student specific laptop which can be distributed by the government largely. The content in these laptops can be monitored by the government to understand the educational needs of a particular area. The content can also be blocked if the laptops are misused. While the government would decide the suitable content, it is mainly to ensure education till the last mile.
