The fake "Buster the Boxer" in MyVoucherCode's parody ad.

MyVoucherCodes has created a budget parody of John Lewis' latest Christmas ad "Buster the Boxer" - released this morning - with the aim of conveying the message that Christmas doesn't have to be expensive. 

Costing £600 and taking six hours to create by students from the London School of Communication Arts, the ad (watch below) pokes fun at the reported £6 million and 6 months John Lewis spent on this year's ad.

This is the second year MyVoucherCodes has released a parody of the annual John Lewis festive campaign.

Last year it created "Christmas doesn't cost the moon" (watch below) as a direct response to the British retailer's 2015 Christmas ad: "Man on the Moon."
