Ebola Drugmaker Shares Surge After CDC Confirms First US Case

Shares of Tekmira Pharmaceuticals, which is working on a treatment for Ebola, are surging in after hours trade after the Centers for Disease Control confirmed the first case of Ebola in the US.

Shares of Tekmira were up as much 11% on Tuesday evening.
The CDC is set to hold a press conference at 5:30 pm ET on Tuesday.
