INITIAL JOBLESS CLAIMS PLUMMET TO LOWEST LEVEL SINCE 2006

Weekly jobless claims came in at 284,000, the lowest level since Feb. 2006.

Expectations were for 307,000, up slightly from 302,000 prior.
