Ever heard of a fish that can walk, a snake that looks like jewellery or a monkey without a nose? These might seem alien but they exist.
According to a report released by theWorld Wide Fund for Nature (WWF) on Monday, there are all sorts of them in the Himalayas that we haven’t ever heard of or seen: Blue eyed frogs, sneezing monkeys, frogs that look like dead leaves, singing birds and what not!
The report named “Hidden Himalayas: Asia’s Wonderland” in fact lists out 211 such species that have been discovered in the Himalayas by different scientists and organizations. The areas where they have been spotted include Bhutan, Nepal, the far north of Myanmar, the southern parts of Tibet, but most of these fascinating creatures are from India.
