NBC host and prominent TV journalist Matt Lauer will soon be fired as a result of "inappropriate workplace behavior," according to New York Times media columnist Jim Rutenberg.
Lauer has been a fixture on NBC since the early 1990s, where he has traveled the world to report on a wide range of subjects.
Lauer has reported live from the Olympics in 2014 and interviewed both Hillary Clinton and Donald Trump during the 2016 presidential election.
Should NBC fire Lauer, it would be the latest in a long string of media personalities being outed for inappropriate behavior.
Mark Halperin and Charlie Rose, both prominent male TV journalists have been accused of sexual misconduct at work and now neither journalist appears on TV.
