In the NFC, the Cowboys and Seahawks look well on their way to first-round byes, though the season-ending injury of Earl Thomas makes the Seahawks a little more vulnerable.
The Lions, at 8-4, are right in the mix of things, too. Down in the NFC South, the red-hot Bucs are now tied with the Falcons for the division lead. The Wild Card picture still points toward the Giants and Redskins making the post-season, but a tough schedule for the G-Men could complicate things.
Then, in the AFC, we have the Patriots and Raiders ahead of the pack at 10-2, but the Chiefs are lurking as maybe the scariest team in football. That's what league execs told Bleacher Report's Mike Freeman, anyway. Meanwhile, the Steelers and Ravens are still battling for the AFC North. And then there is the AFC South, where three 6-6 teams are all tied for first.
In short, the last month of football will be exciting and chaotic. Just the way we like it.
