Prices for carrying excess baggage in aircrafts slashed to one-third

If you believe in taking your world along whenever you travel, a habit that costs you a lot in terms of price for carrying excess baggage, this is good news for you! As per a revised fee structure, fliers will now need to shell out one-third price for excess checked-in baggage from today onwards.As per the new rules, only Rs 100 would be charged per additional kilo of checked-in baggage up to a certain level, as compared to the prior charge of Rs 300 per kg.

However, this really doesn’t mean that you will take everything you want to, since carriers are free to charge any fee on the baggage weighing beyond 20 kg.
