Snapdeal Ties Up With Hero To Sell Two Wheelers, Sells 1 Bike Every Minute

E-tailer According to the statistics by Snapdeal, the company has sold 700 bikes within 3 days, with 1 bike being sold per minute. Interestingly, the price of the model is the same as available in the dealership centres of the auto giant.
“This is the first time we tried out the online platform for selling our bikes, and the response has been just phenomenal. Even for online customers, their satisfaction remains our top priority and they are entitled to all the benefits of warranty and service,” said A Srinivasu, Head of National Sales at Hero.
Commenting on the association, Tony Navin, Senior Vice President, Snapdeal.com stated, “We are happy to have Hero MotoCorp on board as our partner. Hero MotoCorp is a legendary brand that has provided mobility to millions of Indians with finely engineered two-wheelers for three decades now. With the kind of sales being clocked in by Hero on the website, it may open up avenues for other automobile firms, who could try the online retail format for the sale of their models. “The Automobiles category is one of the most promising categories at Snapdeal.com and is expected to reach Rs 1,000 crores (GMV) in the near-term,” added Navin.
