The gunman believed to have opened fire at a community college in southern Oregon has reportedly been identified.

The shooter is believed to be a 26-year-old man named Chris Harper-Mercer who reportedly exchanged fire with police on scene.

NBC News reports four firearms - a rifle and three handguns were found at the scene.

At least 10 people died in the shooting early Thursday, including the gunman. Several more were injured or wounded.
