No, it’s not! The days have changed and people are more into trends like never before. From clicking selfies to including more activities into package planning, people plan every details of their trip. And surely, you don’t want to be left out of this rut. One of the Online travel market leaders, Cleartrip reveals all you need to know about planning, booking, shopping, packing and ‘More’.

“Weekend travel is increasing… Also, Hotel booking is increasing. So with packages getting unbundled, activities and hotels are the most important part of trip planning,” said Subramanya Sharma, CMO, Cleartrip.

· What’s the most preferred time / day of the week: People book most from Thurs-Sat for Saturday, Sunday and Monday. Booking for evening Activities is higher.

· Advance Purchase Trend: On an average, people book atleast 8-12 days in advance. This is for Activities that are around 3-5 hours, approximately. Overall, 54% people booked Activities, one week in advance.

· What are the few Top Activities undertaken by:

Families – Innovative Film City theme park (in Bangalore)
Solos – Luxury Bike Rentals, Go-karting, Flight Simulator (Pilot Fantasy)

· Outdoor v/s Indoor Activities – Outdoor activities are preferred more over weekends, indoor Activities more over weekdays

· What’s the male / female ratio split amongst our bookers
Predominantly male bookers (ratio is 9:1)

· Highest range of Activities booked, are in the price band of Rs. 500 – Rs. 800
(30% of the activities are in the price range of below Rs. 750 and 40% are less than Rs. 1200).
