Unlimited calls, 2GB data per day; BSNL seems to follow Jio’s steps

All telecom companies in the country are under a threat because of freebies offered by Reliance Jio, and the state-run BSNL is too facing the tough competition.
To retain its existing customers and attract new ones, BSNL has launched a new plan that offers 2 GB of 3G data per day, along with BSNL to BSNL unlimited calling for Rs 339.

"The benefits customer will get under theCombo STV (special tariff voucher) of Rs 339 are unlimited calls in BSNL network and unlimited data with fair use policy of 2 GB per day with validity of 28 days," said an official statement from BSNL.
The offer would be valid for 90 days.

On the other hand,Reliance Jio offers 1GB of 4G data per day and unlimited calls to any network for free till March 31. After that, customers who subscribe to the Prime service for Rs 99 would have to pay Rs 303 per month for the services.
As per BSNL, the data of 2 GB per day is one of the best in the industry.

"We are committed to providing affordable and efficient services to all segment [sic] of our loyal mobile customers. We offer best prices to our customers considering present trend of Indian telecom industry," said RK Mittal, Director for Consumer Mobility, BSNL.
