Volkswagen Launched The New Polo In India With A Starting Price of Rs 4.99 Lakhs

The season of cars and auto launches in India has begun and one of the first to start the celebrations is Volkswagen. Today the German car maker was ecstatic about two things – Germany winning the world cup and the launch of 2014 edition of VW Polo.
The new car is available in 5 variants. These include 1.2 MPI with an 1,198 CC engine, 5 speed manual gearbox and fuel average of 16.47 KPMPL. 1.5 TDI, which has a 1,498 CC diesel engine, 5 speed manual gearbox and mileage of 20.14 KMPL. Other variants are Polo GT TSI, GTTDI and Cross Polo.
The starting price of the Polo family is 4.99 lakhs, which goes upto 7.99 lakhs. VW is asking for a great premium for the new generation of Polo, which might not do too well with the customers.
