We're looking for someone who is a news junkie and has the ability to edit sleek video packages, and fast, for digital and social platforms like Facebook. The associate producer will work closely with the fast-expanding video team to edit stories with a wide, general audience reach on subjects ranging from news and politics to business and retail. The right candidate must be able to:
- Edit in Adobe Premiere
- Shoot with Canon DSLRs and/or C100 cameras (or equivalent equipment), along with GoPros and smartphone cameras
- Operate live streaming software like Wirecast
The ideal candidate is creative and has a passion for digital video, especially on social platforms like Facebook. A knowledge of social media, HTML, and CMS is a plus. Here's a brief look at the types of videos you'd be expected to edit and occasionally, write and produce.
