Business Insider UK is hiring a markets reporter to join our growing team in London!
Did you follow the Greek crisis this summer? Are you excited to cover the Bank of England's monthly interest rate decisions and the market crash in China?
The ideal candidate should be deeply interested in what makes markets move.
The markets reporter will be able to identify news reports, earnings releases, analyst calls, and economic data that may be affecting stocks, industries, and the markets as a whole. He or she should be able to present that information in an exciting way with an original angle.
Candidates should:
- be comfortable writing quick and in a conversational tone
- know how to use Twitter and how to mine interesting stories from it
- have 1-2 years professional writing experience, preferably at a digital publication
- be ready to write short posts that analyse the most interesting news of the day, while also working on reported medium-length and long-form features
