Car Sales In June Increase by over 14.5 percent And Two Wheelers By 13 Percent

The slump in auto segment seems to be smoothening out over the last couple of months. Domestic passenger cars saw a jump of over 14.5 percent in the month of June, where the Industry sold over 1.6 lakh units of cars (totally) in this month.
Motorcycle sales went over 8.5 lakh units in June, while the same was less than 8 lakhs during this time last year. Totally the Two wheeler sales went up by 13 percent and over 12 lakh two wheelers were sold in India.
However, commercial vehicles saw a decrease in numbers by 9 percent and only 51,119 units of these were sold in June.
