New Jersey Gov. Chris Christie (R) apparently had quite the game Wednesday night.

According to NJ.com, the likely presidential candidate participated in a star-studded charity softball game at Yankee Stadium, where he was named "the unofficial MVP of the first game on the strength of several fine fielding plays at third base."

Photos of the event show Christie throwing some intense passes and hammering the baseball while at bat.

Other well-known people who participated reportedly include former Yankees manager Joe Torre, Giants coach Tom Coughlin, Jets coach Todd Bowles, and Buffalo Bills coach Rex Ryan.

The game raised money for the Silver Shield Foundation and the Widows' and Children's Fund, which benefit the families of slain police officers. Proceeds were also given to the families of two NYPD officers who were infamously assassinated at the end of last year.
