Here come ADP private payrolls ...
ADP Research Institute will release its employment report for May at 8:15 a.m. ET.
Economists forecast that private payrolls rose by 173,000 according to Bloomberg, up from 156,000 in April.
The release comes ahead of the Labor Department's jobs report on Friday.
It's anticipated that both reports will reflect the impact of the Verizon workers' strike, during which more than 30,000 people left work after a contract dispute. Unions announced a deal with the company on Monday.
Excluding the strike, Pantheon Macroeconomics' Ian Shepherdson estimates that the private-payroll gain would be above 200,000.
