Bank earnings kick off on Friday with Bank of America expected to report fourth-quarter earnings at 6:45 a.m.

Analysts are expecting adjusted earnings per share of $0.38 on revenue of $20.76 billion, according to Bloomberg.

Total trading revenue is expected to come in at $3.06 billion, while analysts expect investment banking revenues of $1.14 billion.

In the same quarter last year, Bank of America beat expectations, reporting $0.28 per share.

In the third quarter, Bank of America beat on the top and bottom lines, reporting earnings per share of $0.41 on revenue of $21.64 billion.

"Our investments in innovation, including industry-leading digital banking capabilities, continue to transform how we serve our customers," CEO Brian Moynihan said in a statement at the time.

JPMorgan and Wells Fargo will report fourth-quarter earnings around 8 am Friday.
