Expectations are for the BoC to keep its benchmark interest rate pegged at 0.5%.
And while the BoC's decision Wednesday isn't expected to materially change the outlook for markets, it does kick off a busy period for central bank announcements, as the European Central Bank will announce its latest decision tomorrow morning with the Bank of Japan and Federal Reserve due up next week.
Ahead of the announcement the Canadian dollar was little changed against the US dollar, trading near $1.342.
This post will be updated with the statement drops.
