How GE plans to build 10,000 airplane engines in the next 5 years

For the next five years, large commercial engines and airlines are completely on back order - leaving many airlines unable to upgrade their fleets until 2020. To meet the demand, GE's aviation sector has opened eight factories in the past eight years, working tirelessly towards a 10,000 commercial-engine goal.
Tomas Kellner, managing editor of GE Reports, spoke to GE Aviation's Rick Kennedy at this year's Farnborough Airshow in the UK about what this demand means for the industry, how GE plans to deliver, and the importance the Farnborough Airshow has in selling commercial fleets.
