IT firms are going strong as the day ends in Dalal Street

Shares of mid cap Hexaware futures gained 2.4 percent, or 6.6 rupees, to trade at 277.60. Open Interest on July futures rose 8.3 percent over yesterday and the stock showed a build up of long positions on the counter.
Similarly, Tech Mahindra futures were in heavy demand with a 3.1 percent rise, they were quoting at 489 rupees. The OI rose 3.1 percent for these futures which also showed a long build up.
Other shares exhibiting positive trend in the software space were HCL Tech, MindTree, Oracle Financial, Infosys and TCS.
Futures of MindTree showed the highest rise in Open Interest, to the tune of 27 percent, ahead of its earnings.

The broader CNX IT Index showed a 0.3 percent gain at 11,185 points.
