Meet Samiran Chakraborty, Citi India’s new chief economist

Citi India has roped in Samiran Chakraborty as its new chief economist for India after Rohini Malkani quit the bank in April this year. He was earlier working as MD and head of Macro Research for South Asia at Standard Chartered Bank.
Besides this, Chakraborty has also worked withICICI Bank as chief economist and Delhi School of Economics as faculty for mathematical Economics and open-economy macroeconomics.
Citigroup is the world's largestfinancial services network with over 200 million customer accounts in more than 160 countries and jurisdictions. It provides a broad range of financial services, like consumer banking and credit, corporate and investment banking , brokerage, transaction services and wealth management.
