Mexican magazine portrays Donald Trump as Hitler on its cover
Mexican magazine Letras Libres made a blatant comparison between Donald Trump and Adolf Hitler on the cover of its October issue, superimposing blocky text reading "Fascista Americano" above Trump's lip on a close-up photo.
The magazine's editor Enrique Krauze is a frequent critic of Trump, and argued in a recent Slate article that Mexico's president Enrique Peña Nieto made a "historic error" in inviting the Republican nominee to the country in August.
"From Trump, Mexico received only words, words worth no more than the paper they were scribbled on," Krauze wrote.
"In exchange, Mexico, filling the sad role of the useful idiot, gave a bigot the pat on the back that he required."
Trump has referred to immigrants from Mexico as drug dealers, rapists, and criminals, and declared Mexico will pay for the construction of a wall along the US border.
