One of Hillary Clinton's sharpest critics says the FBI was 'wrong and unfair' to drop last-minute campaign bombshell
One of Donald Trump's most outspoken supporters decried FBI Director James Comey's announcement on Friday that the agency was still investigating Hillary Clinton.
In a series of tweets Sunday evening, former Rep. Joe Walsh said that while he personally believed the Department of Justice should have indicted Clinton over the summer for her use of a private email server while serving as secretary of state, the last-minute bombshell was "unfair" and overtly political.
Walsh is far from a Clinton supporter.
Last week, the former congressman said he would grab his musket if Clinton emerged victorious over Trump in the general election, a statement that some interpreted as a call for armed revolution. He concluded Sunday's tweetstorm insisting that Comey's letter doesn't change his mind.

Politics aside, James Comey has screwed this thing up from the get go.
He wrongly let her off in July & he wrongly stuck it to her Friday.

Look, I think Comey should have said prosecute her back in July.
But what he just did 11 days b4 the election is wrong & unfair to Hillary.

U may hate me, but I'll always say what I believe.
I want Trump to win, but what Comey just did to Hillary Is wrong & really unfair to her.

Hillary is corrupt as hell, but the FBI Dir has no right to mess with an election.
He goes public cuz of emails no one has seen? Just wrong

You can't come out 11 days before an election & say: "On 2nd thought, I think I'll retry her for murder, but I won't tell you why."
Huh?
- Joe Walsh (@WalshFreedom) October 31, 2016
Yup. I just think it's wrong how Comey inserted himself into this election. https://t.co/3SWHdcU6sy
