Shares of McDonald's have been halted, pending news.

The stock was little changed ahead of the halt.

McDonald's is hosting an investor meeting on Tuesday, with the company's CEO Steve Easterbrook set to speak on the company's "Strategic Focus" at 1:15 p.m. ET.

We're on the call and will update this post as Easterbrook speaks.

We'd note that last month, Walmart shares fell about 10% as company executives spoke at an investor meeting in which the company warned that profits would decline in the coming years.

And so while it remains to be seen what McDonald's news is on Tuesday, it seems eager to avoid any massive stock move akin to what Walmart saw.
