Sonam or Aishwarya: Who’s your pick at Cannes this year?

We all know that Katrina painted the town red in her last and final appearance in Cannes film festival this year, but moving on, here is how Sonam Kapoor and Aishwarya Rai Bachchan chose to grace the red carpet.

Sonam, who was walking the red carpet at Cannes for the 5^th time in a row, looked every bit her fashionista self as she stepped out in an electric blue Ralph & Russo Spring 2014 Couture gown. Complimenting her look were a matching shade of Giuseppe Zanotti sandals and white and blue earrings from Chopard.

With her hair swept on the right and her hands on her slim waist she posed for the shutterbugs, and definitely took the bar higher for the final appearance. We just can’t wait to see how she chooses to surpass that tonight.

The diva Aishwarya Rai Bachchan, on the other hand, proved why she is called the most beautiful woman in the world. Being a veteran at Cannes, this was the 14^th time that she was gracing the red carpet at the prestigious film festival, and like every year, she managed to look ravishing in a teal Ellie Saab evening gown. Aishwarya chose to let her hair down, literally, as she posed and pouted for the cameras, just like she does every year.

Having fun at the red carpet, she also clicked some selfies and photobombed several others, hinting at the ease with which she goes to Cannes, year after year.

Accompanying her to Cannes is her three-year old daughter Aaradhya, who made news just before leaving from the Mumbai airport as she followed her mother’s actions and touched the feet of her maternal grandfather, Mr. Krishnaraj Rai.

For Bollywood, up next at Cannes would be Sonam’s final appearance tonight, followed by Aishwarya’s second and last red carpet walk this year, planned for the day after tomorrow.
