Sunil Bharti Mittal receives Harvard’s 2016 alumni achievement award, the highest honour of the B-school

Airtel’s Sunil Bharti Mittal received the highest honour of Harvard Business School, the Alumni Achievement Award.
The award is presented to those alumni who have contributed significantly to their companies and communities while upholding the highest standards and values in everything they do.
“Harvard Business School’s renowned management program helped me validate and sharpen my work towards putting together the building blocks to create one of the leading global telecom companies - BhartiAirtel . I want to thank the Awards Committee for conferring this prestigious honour upon me,” said Mittal, who is a member of several premier international bodies such as International Chamber of Commerce (ICC), Chairman of World Economic Forum’s (WEF) Telecom Steering Committee, etc.
Mittal has also received one of India’s highest civilian awards Padma Bhushan. He has also been awarded the INSEAD Business Leader for the World Award 2011 and the Global Economy Prize 2009 by The Kiel Institute, Germany. The US-India Business Council also honored him with the ‘Global Vision’ Award 2008. Sunil has received the GSM Association Chairman's Award for 2008.
