The New BMW X3 Comes On To The Indian Turf, Gets Priced

When it comes to luxury sedans in India, BMW is the first name that pops to mind. On Thursday, BMW India launched the new X3 SUV for the Indian roads. This model from the German multinational will only be available in the diesel variant.
The car will be locally produced in the Chennai plant and will be available for purchase from today onwards. The X3 is available in 2 Diesel versions for Rs 44.9 lakhs and Rs 49.4 lakhs. The X3 has a 1,995 CC turbo charged engine with 8-speed automatic transmission system. A 7 channel in car entertainment system will only be available in the top version.
Mr. Philipp von Sahr, President, BMW Group India said, “The new BMW X3 is the embodiment of independence. Whether it’s on the way to work, or on a weekend. With family or for some quality time alone. It is built for both the small and big challenges that each day brings. Its sporting character is revealed in an extremely dynamic driving experience with impressive efficiency and fascinating design that emphasises the athletic character of the new BMW X3.”
Safety features such as air airbags for front and rear passengers, ABS and dynamic stability control will also come as part of the package in the X3. This SUV is available in 8 colours and is ready to take challenge toAudi Q3. We will know in a couple of months how it does on the Indian customers.
