India aims to achieve "Insurance for all by 2047," according to Debasish Panda, the chairperson of the Insurance Regulatory and Development Authority of India (IRDAI). To make this vision a reality, Panda suggested that the insurance industry collaborate with government groups, such as ASHA workers and non-government organizations, to raise awareness about insurance. The regulator has granted licenses to three insurance companies since 2022: CreditAccess Grameen Life Insurance, Acko Life Insurance, and Kshema General Insurance.
