Lamborghini Estoque Concept

Lamborghini Estoque Concept
Lambo has maintained it’ll never built a production sedan anytime soon, but this came closest to just that.

Long and sexy, the Estoque had everything a top-end sedan would love to have. It had a clean profile, a solid 5.2-liter V10 engine and when it was first launched at the Geneva Car Show back in 2008, everybody accepted it’ll mark Lambo’s entry into the sport-luxury sedan segment.

Sadly that’s when the Global Financial Crisis struck hard, and killed the poor Estoque.

Mazda Furai Concept

Mazda Furai Concept
If ever someone builds a car for a superhero, they should ask Mazda.

Possibly one of the most beautiful concepts ever, you know it was never meant to be production stuff.

The Furai debuted at the 2008 North American International Auto Show in Detroit, and it was the last and final concept in Mazda’s fluid Nagare line. It’s name means – ‘Sound of the wind’, fair enough when you’ve got an all-new 20B 3-rotor wankel engine that churns out over 400 BHP.

The Furai brought the future to the present, nothing less.

Ferrari P4/5 by Pininfarina

Ferrari P4/5 by Pininfarina
Ferrari approached Stock exchange billionaire and automotive enthusiast James Glickenhaus to commission a unique car that’s stuff of legends.

Glickenhaus purchased the last available Enzo and had Pininfarina design over 200 original parts for the car. His four million dollars and Ferrari’s brain built the Ferrari P4/5 by Pininfarina.

This car’s exterior is made entirely of carbon fiber reinforced plastic, the unique butterfly doors eliminates wind noise up to speeds of 160 mph, and even the seats are custom moulded for Glickenhaus and his son and swathed in black mesh and red leather chosen by his own daughter.

Production has been reserved to just one man, Glickenhaus. Who said money can’t buy happiness!

Cadillac Sixteen Concept

Cadillac Sixteen Concept
The Caddy Sixteen Concept was first showcased in 2003.

This insanely long cruiser is a Caddy in every way. The elegant lines, the huge 24 inch wheels, the intimidating fascia and the crazy 13.6 liters engine that developed 1,000 BHP from its V16 (basically twin V8s).

The crazy fact is that this concept was actually drivable. Hope Caddy launches it as an uber-flagship someday.

BMW M1 Hommage Concept

BMW M1 Hommage Concept
BMW’s iconic M1 supercar was much ahead of its time. It’s a shame it never saw modern production.

The M1 Hommage was unveiled at the Concorso d’Eleganza at Villa d’Este in Italy back in 2008 in celebration of the 30-year anniversary of the original German supercar.

Hope BMW launches this someday as a flagship.

Citroën GT Concept

Citroën GT Concept
This concept car was inspired by a video game. Sounds fun?

French automaker Citroën and racing simulation developer Polyphony Digital, developed the GT Concept was designed and created for Gran Turismo 5.

This car looks like noting you’ll ever see. It’s space-age interiors fit only in a video game, and seems lifted from some distant future.

The huge car weighs a mere 3,086 pounds and has a Ford V8 under the hood. Six versions were planned for production at a steep $2.1 million, but Citroën cancelled those plans. Why, oh why!
