UberAUTO drives back home temporarily

Uber temporarily suspended its on-demand auto-rickshaw hailing service uberAUTO in Delhi, which started in April this year with around 5,000 registered vehicles.
"UberAUTO was an experiment. We are temporarily removing this product to solve specific problems that need to be resolved to help it scale,” said Uber in a statement.
One of the issues that Uber faced was licensing, as there is no policy for fleet ownership and auto permits are issued to individuals only.
Uber’s rival Ola had launched Ola Auto in November 2014 and plans to extend the service to nine cities from six cities.
