We tried Maple, the gourmet food delivery startup backed by ramen king David Chang - and it was delicious
Sarah Jacobs/Business Insider
The premise of Maple is simple: menus created by Davies and her team of chefs are cooked in central kitchens and sent out to customers in New York City. While delivery options like Seamless or Caviar will coordinate delivery from pretty much any restaurant, Maple thinks it can make food you want more than the spicy tuna roll you always order from your go-to sushi place. It's akin to other delivery-only services like Sprig or Munchery, with some bigger food-world names attached.
This week, Maple announced it would be expanding its previously limited delivery zone to include Midtown Manhattan, meaning that Business Insider's office is now squarely within the range. We were excited to finally get the chance to put the Maple delivery experience to the test.
