While playing Santa isn't a realistic job opportunity past December, other seasonal gigs have a good chance at turning into a full-time position.

In fact, 88% of employers plan to keep on some portion of their seasonal employees this year, according to Peter Harrison, the CEO of Snagajob.com.

And now is the time to talk to your boss about staying on as a full-time employee, he says, because 85% of seasonal jobs are filled by October and they start to empty in the new year, which is just a few days away.
