BlackBerry Slashes Prices Of QWERTY Handsets In India

Canadian telecommunication and wireless equipment company Blackberry reduced prices of its QWERTY devices. As per the new prices, the BlackBerry 9320 is now available for Rs 9,990, BlackBerry 9720 at Rs 11,990 and the Q5 at Rs 13,990.

The price of BlackBerry 9320 has been slashed by 10%. This handset is now available at price of Rs 11,000 (from Rs 9,000 earlier). It is the first 3G enabled device from BlackBerry's portfolio to come under the Rs 10,000 range.

On the other hand, BlackBerry 9720 can now be purchased for just Rs 11,990 (from Rs 15,990 earlier).

The Q5 is now cheaper by almost 30% from the earlier price of Rs 19,990. If you are interested in this device, shell out just Rs 13,990 to bring this handset home.

According to Sameer Bhatia, director (distribution) at BlackBerry India, "The classic BlackBerry keyboard has huge fan base who swear by the distinct typing experience that BlackBerry offers."

He believes that these compelling price-points will enable QWERTY fans to experience the latest technology and ease of use in one device.
