From Maruti S-Cross Petrol and Audi RS7 Sportback to BS6 Honda Civic and Hyundai Tucson Facelift— these are the top upcoming car launches in July

After the launch of its first BS6 diesel range in India— the Honda WRV BS6, the Japanese automaker has confirmed it will launch the BS6 Honda Civic diesel, this week. Pre-bookings for the new BS6 Honda Civic diesel have been open since mid-June.

The car is equipped with dual-zone climate control system, 6.9-inch touchscreen infotainment system, 8-way powered driver seat, remote engine starter, Android Auto and Apple CarPlay support, sunroof, and much more.

The car will be priced higher than the BS4 model owing to the upgrade to BS6. It is expected to start in the vicinity of ₹21 lakh (ex-showroom).

India’s largest carmaker Maruti Suzuki’s S-Cross petrol will hit the showroom in the month of July. The carmaker unveiled its new model at the Auto Expo 2020. The car is equipped with BS6 compliant K15B 1.5-litre petrol engine that produces a maximum power of 77 kW (104.69 PS) at 6,000 rpm.

It is expected to be priced somewhere between ₹8.85- ₹11.43 lakh (ex-showroom). The S-Cross is built to compete against the petrol versions of the Kia Seltos, Hyundai Creta and Nissan Kicks.

The MG Hector Plus was first shown at the Auto Expo 2020 in 6-and 7-seater formats. However, according to the reports, the car will initially be launched only as a six-seater along with petrol (manual, automatic) and diesel (manual) powertrains.

The MG Hector Plus price is expected to begin from ₹13.5 lakh and should top out at less than ₹20 lakh, ex-showroom. The car will compete against Toyota Innova Crysta.

Audi India has opened pre-bookings for its all-new RS7 Sportback, ahead of the launch. The company allows customers to pre-book at the cost of ₹10 lakh.

The new RS7 will be Audi’s third new launch of 2020 in India and the fourth model revamped after the A6 sedan, A8 limousine and Q8 SUV. Deliveries are expected to start from end July and the car will be priced somewhere around ₹1.7 crore (ex-showroom).

The Hyundai Tucson Facelift unveiled at Auto Expo 2020 is a mildly tweaked version of Hyundai Tucson sports. The Tucson Facelift will offer generous seating for five with a panoramic sunroof and wireless charging for the front passenger seat.

It will be fully equipped with BS6-spec versions of the outgoing model’s petrol and diesel engines. The car is expected to price around ₹22 lakh and will take on the Jeep Compass and Honda CR-V in the Indian market upon launch.
