Sachin Tendulkar, Brian Lara and other cricketing legends will be taking live classes on Unacademy

Cricketing legends like Sachin Tendulkar, Brian Lara, Brett Lee, Jonty Rhodes and Muttiah Muralidharan will be taking live classes on Indian edutech platform – Unacademy.

The cricketers will be teaching students life lessons and stress on the importance of mental fitness. They will be a part of the Legends on Unacademy series on the startup. Unacademy had recently associated with Road Safety World Series Cricket 2020.

While Tendulkar will be talking on the topic - Attitude towards failure and working with determination, Lara will be speaking on - Temperament and coping with pressure and persistence. Lee will take his class on ‘Traits of leadership, leading the attack and passion’, Muralidharan will talk about ‘Overcoming challenges, second innings and spinning things in your favour’ and Rhodes will speak on ‘Importance of physical and mental fitness and believing the unbelievable’.

“Learners get a once in a lifetime opportunity to connect with legends we all look up to, and learn about the struggles, experiences and failures behind their success. In a country that almost breathes the sport, we are truly excited to kick-off this visionary initiative with these illustrious cricketers. This is the first edition of Legends on Unacademy, with the future bringing more such luminaries to teach live on the platform, motivating Learners and propelling them towards achieving their dreams,” said Karan Shroff, Vice President, Marketing at Unacademy.

Founded in 2015, Unacademy offers live interactive courses and educational courses to students. It has 10,000 educators on its platform and over 90,000 subscribers, the company claims.

In February 2020, Unacademy raised a series E round of funding of $110 million in a round led by General Atlantic and Facebook.
