A chilling photo following President Donald Trump's Wednesday trip to Las Vegas showed Air Force One flying past the broken windows on the Mandalay Bay Resort and Casino that the Las Vegas mass shooter fired from just days earlier.

The photo, taken by Reuters photographer Mike Blake, showed the president's plane in the air shortly after takeoff from Las Vegas' McCarran International Airport, which is parallel to the Mandalay Bay hotel.

Trump visited Las Vegas to meet with victims and first responders from Sunday night's shooting, the deadliest in modern US history. Fifty-nine people were killed and more than 500 were injured when 64-year-old Stephen Paddock began unloading bullets from the 32nd floor of the hotel onto a country music festival across the street.

Paddock shot himself to death as police were closing in on his location. Investigators are still searching for his motive.
