Chinese Manufacturing PMI Rises Less Than Expected

China's official April PMI is out at 9 p.m. ET.

Economists polled by Bloomberg are looking for manufacturing PMI to rise to 50.5, from 50.3 the previous month.

A reading below 50 indicates contraction.

The HSBC flash PMI reading we got earlier this month, shows that Chinese manufacturing has been contracting.
But the official survey has a bigger sample and has more exposure to larger manufacturers.
