Tesla fans will be able finally pre-order the Tesla Model 3 in March when the company unveils the new car, the company's CEO Elon Musk revealed in tweet on Wednesday.
But consumers will have to wait awhile before they actually receive their order.
The company will begin production on the new all-electric car in about two years and pricing will begin at $35,000, Musk said in his tweet.
The new vehicle's price is a far cry from Tesla's other models.
Tesla's Model S begins pricing at $75,000 before gas savings and cash incentives. And it's Model X Signature Series SUV, which is slated to begin shipping at the end of this month, begins pricing at $132,000.

Musk also revealed via Twitter that the regular Model X will be priced $5K more than the Model S, so at about $90,000.
Despite Tesla's high price point, its cars remain very popular.
Earlier this month its Model S P85D received the highest ranking Consumer Reports had ever given any car, actually breaking the group's rankings system. Musk revealed last year that the company was working on the more affordable Model 3, but now we have a more solid time frame of when it will hit the market. While we don't have too many details about the new car, Musk has said that "it will be different from any other car on the road...in a way that's really useful..."
