Flipkart is looking to revamp its tech team. The older ones are leaving as a result. This includes Chief Technology Officer Amod Malviya who has shifted to an advisory role, and Sameer Nigam who headed the engineering team who has quit altogether.

"The advisory board has been created to help manage the direct fast paced growth at Flipkart with deep domain expertise in different areas," Mukesh Bansal said in an email to his employees.

Nigam was the founder of Mime360 and joined Flipkart in 2011 after the company acquired his company. Until recently, he reported to Malviya at Flipkart.
