HomeUnion, an online real estate investment management firm, has named the nine best housing markets for single-family rental home investors in the first quarter of 2017.

The firm uses data on over 110 million homes and 200,000 neighborhoods to compile their list.

Here are the top markets for real estate investing in the first quarter, based on first-year returns:
