The Conference Board's latest reading on consumer confidence is set for release at 10 a.m. ET.

The consensus forecast is that the confidence index rose to 94 in March from 92.2 in February, according to Bloomberg.

That's also what Bank of America Merrill Lynch economists are expecting.

"Continued improvement in the labor market is likely to bolster the index, and we expect business confidence to be somewhat improved, given signs of stabilization in the manufacturing sector," they wrote in a preview.
