Here comes the consumer price index...

The latest reading of consumer price index (CPI) inflation is set to be released by th Bureau of Labor Statistics at 8:30 a.m. ET.

The price of consumer goods in the US is expected to have increased by 0.4% in October. Stripping away the volatile food and energy categories, core CPI is expected to have ticked up by 0.2%.

Additionally, prices - again excluding food and energy - are expected to have gone up by 2.2% from October 2015, in line with the year-over-year reading in September.
