In addition to being an award-winning hotel, it has a fascinating history as the former home and office of the first MI6 chief, Sir Mansfield Cumming.

Cumming lived in the 19th-century building adjoined to the hotel between 1911-1921, while the Secret Intelligence Bureau used the building as its headquarters during the First World War.

The lavish five-star hotel on London's Embankment has 282 bedrooms and five extravagant suites with breathtaking city views, as well as a critically acclaimed restaurant, swanky cocktail bar, a terrace overlooking the Thames, and more.

Take a look inside the hotel below.
