Hillary Clinton, the Democratic presidential nominee, is healthy and fit to serve as president, according to a doctor's letter released on Wednesday.

"She continues to remain healthy and fit to serve as President of the United States," Dr. Lisa Bardack, Clinton's physician wrote.

Clinton was diagnosed with mild, non-contagious bacterial pneumonia last Friday, according to the letter.

Her health has become a national story in recent days after a video surfaced of her struggling to walk leaving a 9/11 memorial event in New York City.

The letter also states that Clinton's blood pressure and cholesterol levels are within normal ranges.

"The remainder of her complete physical exam was normal and she is in excellent mental condition," Bardack wrote.
