India will outperform emerging markets and investors are banking on country’s growth story

Amid global slowdown and weakening conviction among investors, India is expected to outperform emerging markets in 2016.

As per a survey by Morgan Stanley, 52% of the respondents in the survey said they expected India to outperform emerging markets in 2016 and 85% had done so in the previous survey in 2015.

Although many investors have withdrawn assets from India, many major foreign investors still see Indian economy as a bright spot.

Reportedly, foreign investors have raked in nearly Rs 13,000 crore into Indian equities after withdrawing nearly Rs 26,200 crore in the first two months of the year.
